So anyways…… it’s high time we start with this review! So this book – The Secrets of Vesuvius by Caroline Lawrence – comes after The Thieves of Ostia. This book is about where Flavia, Jonathan, Nubia, Lupus, Mordacaie, Marcus and Flavius geminus (Flavia’s father) travel to Pompeii and they do not know that MOUNT VESUVIUS is GONNA BLOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH) And the animals dream of IMPENDING DOOM! At the end of the book Admiral Pliny dies DIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh sorry about The DIE!!!!!!!!!!!! part but hey I’m creative and good news everybody! Everyone survives the volcano!!!!!!!! I mean Flavia, Jonathan, Nubia, Lupus and Mordacaie survive!

This book sounds very exciting and “action packed”–what with volcanoes erupting and all. I love stories about the roman world and am excited to read this book now that you are done reading it.

I’m glad they survived the volcano. Pompeii is a pretty incredible place, filled with mystery!! Sounds like an interesting book!
