This is a trilogy (my side of the mountain, on the far side of the mountain, Frightful’s mountain). Anyway in My Side of the Mountain, Sam Gribley will set out from his home in the city to live wild in a hemlock tree, make friends and tame a peregrine Falcon(lovely bird)named Frightful. In On the Far Side of the Mountain, Sam will try to find who took his falcon and will for the first time venture far away from his hemlock home to find his beloved bird. In Frightful’s Mountain watch Frightful mate, migrate, have chicks and see her daughter Oski mate and take flight for the first time. Hey what’s going on guys it’s AUGUST THE AWESOME and welcome back to another review from our favorite book blog ACTIONPACKEDBB! This book (Magnus Chase and the Gods of Asgard -The Sword of Summer) is about this kid Magnus Chase (obviously)(son of Frey) who is homeless and finds this sword called THE SWORD OF SUMMER. But this evil fire giant named Surt wants the sword so he can free Fenris Wolf on doomsday. What happens next? Dun dun dun!!!!!!!!!!!! Anyway the reason this book is different from Percy Jackson is because it’s Norse – like Loki and Thor and Odin and all the other Norse dudes.

This book – Nimona by Noelle Stevenson – is about this girl named Nimona and this guy named Blackheart who are trying to prove that Sir Goldenloin and his friends at the institution are not the heros everyone thinks they are. The reason you would like this book is because the main character is a girl so if you are a girl you would probably like this book.

This book (Funny Business) is PACKED with funny stories that are guaranteed to make you fall out of your chair, bed, couch etc. My favorite is where this ordinary kid named Will has to stop this guy named Cybertsruto who wants to take over the world! (for some strange reason a lot of villains want to do that). My least favorite story is where this kid has a turkey who he hates so he does really bad stuff for example: he ripped his mother’s dresses, pees on his parent’s bed mattress (grossed out now? no? Then read on) and that’s all I know.

This book (the Penderwicks by Jeanne Birdsall) is about four Penderwick sisters (Batty, Jane, Skye and Rosalind). They go on vacation to Arundel cottage with their dad and their dog (Hound) where they meet Jeffrey. Jeffrey’s mother’s name is Mrs. Tifton who owns a HUGE mansion called Arundel hall and employs a gardner named Cagney (critical note: Rosalind has a crush on Cagney and Batty likes Cagney because he has two rabbits named Yaz and Carla). In the middle of the book Mrs. Tifton holds a dinner at Arundel hall and the Penderwicks and Jeffrey overhear Mrs. Tifton and her fiancee Dexter talking about sending Jeffrey to military school. This book – Delivery of Doom by Dan Yaccarino – is about where this 13 year old boy Luno has to save all the Pizzerias in the galaxy (critical note: they all live on planets because earth was destroyed millenia ago) from this Evil reptilicon named Vlactron who owns the largest pizza chain in the galaxy named Quantum Pizza. The reason Vlactron is trying to destroy all the Pizzerias in the galaxy is because he wants this thing called the Golden Anchovy that Luno’s great great great great great great grandfather (Solaro Zorgoochi) found.

This book – The Twelve Tasks of Flavia Gemina – by Caroline Lawrence – is really good. I read it it like 14 times so it’s high time we get started with this review! The book is about where JONATHAN, NUBIA and LUPUS have to help FLAVIA perform 12 labors (well she does’t actually have to DO the tasks but she has to find 12 things that resemble the tasks) and she has to do them because if she does them then she’ll be able to find out why this Roman widow (Cartilla Poplica) loves Captain Geminus (flavia’s father).

Hey what’s going on guys it’s AUGUST THE AWESOME! (Sorry for the delay – mom had pneumonia.)

This is………………… another ROMAN MYSTERIES book – The Dolphins of Laurentum by Caroline Lawrence – and this one is VEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEERY freaky! Because when FLAVIA, JONATHAN, NUBIA, LUPUS, MORDACAIE, MARCUS FLAVIUS GEMINUS, PLINY(no I don’t know how at all he’s still alive), MIRIAM and ARISTO go to Laurentum where they find out how Lupus lost his tongue (or shall i say:where they uncover the horrible truth about his past) and they also find out Venalicius (the slave trader) is Lupus’s UNCLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! crazy huh? They are also trying to find a sunken ship which is LOADED with treasure but there is an octopus guarding the ship. So Lupus actually tames a dolphin – which he named Delphina – but Venalicius is looking for the ship too but dies after diving 12 or 10 times…

Anyway if you liked this review kill Valentine on the spot with an AK-47, smash your cookie into it and if you get crumbs on it then you can just lick it off with your tongue! While you’re at it you can hit the “like” button with your tongue. And…. PEACE OUT!

Welcome back to another review for the one the only ACTIONPACKEDBB! This book – the Red Pyramid by Rick Riordan – is about where 2 normal kids(Carter and Sadie Kane) get influenced by 2 ancient Egyptian gods. Carter gets Horus the son of Osiris (if you don’t know him then you probably don’t know anything about Egyptian gods). Anyway, they have to stop the evil Egyptian god Set from rising on the third DEMON DAY (cool name huh?).
